Overview

Our classes are grouped into 3 kinds. You can request any of the classes and a training manager will be in-touch to coordinate a session that works for your schedule. If you are on our white-glove service, all public training sessions are included with your contract.

The 3 groups are:

100 level:  friendly for both business and technical users
200 level:  targets technical implementors
300 level:  targets business users specifically

 

Please feel free to request classes that are not assigned a date as those courses will be filled by customer requests.
GB101:  Quick Introduction to the GBI Platform (1 hour)
Introduction to how your business can work with GBI Platforms.
 Who should take this course?
This course targets all users who wish to get a brief overview of the platforms available.

You will learn about GBI platforms, including the business and technical tools available to your teams.

GB300:  Business Part 1 (2.5 hours)
Introduction to how the business teams can work with Searchandiser via the Command Center, and an overview of what Command Center does, including advanced rule management.
Who should take this course?
This course targets the business users who responsible for managing the front-end experience that powers their search. The modules include an understanding of how search works, and what business teams can do right away to control the experience.
Please note, that recall and relevancy for optimized search results is in Part 2.
What you will learn
The material is set up such that there is an introduction and a basic framework of how the Cloud Search works, followed by the more detailed modules.

GB200:  Technical Training – Data and Query (2.5 hours)

Who should take this course?
This course targets the technical administrators who are responsible for the data transform and load, management of user access and testing environments, and building the front-end application that powers search.

The material is set up such that there is an introduction and a basic framework of how the Cloud Search works, followed by the more detailed modules.

GB355:  Biasing Profiles (1.5 hours)
This session focuses on how to use Biasing Profiles.​
We will cover:
1.  What do biasing profiles do
2.  How to create or edit biasing profiles
3.  How to test them
4.  How to apply them​

 

This is your primer – a special, shorter session that will cover just these topics.

 

This session is targeted for business users who want to have a deeper understanding of relevancy.

 

This session assumes you have:​
–  logged into the Command Center
–  have access to Rules and Biasing Profiles
–  are aware of the Reference Application

GB130:  Navigation Management (1.5 hours)
Learn about how you can:
–  navigate through your data, through both Dynamic Navigations and the ref app
–  how to manage navigations in Command Center

 

This session is friendly for both technical and business users.

 

This session assumes that you have:

–  know your customer key and client id
–  know your primary Area and Collection

GB150:  Recommendations and Personalization Overview (1.5 hours)

 

Learn about the personalization and recommendations that can be driven by the GroupBy platforms.

 

This session is friendly for both technical and business users.

 

This class will cover the current applications of GroupBy, including ClickBoost, personalization of landing pages and results, and product recommendations.

–  know your data structure

This session focuses on the Rules interface of Command Center.
We will cover:

–  How to create and edit rules
–  How to test them

This session is targeted for business users who manage rules in Command Center.

 

This session assumes you have:
–  logged into Command Center
–  have access to Rules and Biasing Profiles
–  Are aware of the Reference Application

GB350:  Business Part 2 (3 hours)
A deeper dive into recall and relevancy.   Part 1 is a pre-requisite as there will be no Command Center / Searchandiser overview as part of this module – understanding of Areas and Rule Management is a pre-requisite.

 

Who should take this course?
This course targets the business users who are responsible for managing the relevancy of their search, and merchandise the search and browse experiences to ensure that the right products rise to the top.   Please note that this module assumes that you have taken Business Part 1.

 

What you will learn
You will learn about how recall and relevancy are managed with Searchandiser, including items that are managed via Command Center, data and Recommendations.

Who should take this course?
This course targets the technical administrators who are responsible for building the front-end application that powers search.  This module includes a more significant emphasis on front-end rendering rather than query time items.
